KK outlet Celebrates Football Fever
KesselsKramer’s London space, KK Outlet in Hoxton Square, has put together a stylish celebration of the football festivities. World Cup fever has been sartorially realised in the re-imagination of the classic football shirt by 11 designers, graphic artists, animators and overall creative heavyweights. The format has in most occasions been broken down and reassembled using motifs, suggestions and elements pertaining to the beloved game. Heading up the ‘dream team’ are Becky and Joe, Anna Lomax, Craig & Karl, HORT, Put Put, VLF, Helmut Smits, Ning Wang, Lakwena Maciver, KesselsKramer and INT Works.
Displayed in the tri-chambered space, the designs vary in eccentricity and interpretation. Our particular favourites come from the magical minds of KesselsKramer and Lakwena Mciver with their far removed renditions of the sporting wares. Iridescent metallics and pom poms provide a stark contrast to the graphic appropriation of the pitch.
Each contribution is distinct in its print, material and overall sense of fun. Put Put’s baby blue knitted offering, in its complete deconstruction of the original silhouette, is distinctly wearable.
Pop in to check out the shirts and watch a match screening, while you munch on a deluxe burger from their food stall.
